A rare little Lyonnais celebration book published to mark the wedding of Elisabeth-Thérèse of Lorraine (1711-1741) and Charles-Emmanuel III of Sardinia (1701-1773).
The young queen stayed in Lyon on her journey from Lunéville to Turin to join her new husband. It was on this occasion that these poems were composed by the boarders of the Collège de la Ste Trinité of the Society of Jesus in Lyon. They are signed only with the initials (B.B.J.,C.H.J., G.V.J., A.B.J., N.R.J.,C.P.J, J.M.J., P.N.J.).
