[BRAILLE] Auguste BRACHET and Jean DUSSOUCHET

Grammaire française fondée sur l’histoire de la langue. Tome premier. [et] Tome second. Première partie.

Paris, Institution nationale des jeunes aveugles, 1895.

2 parts in 2 folio volumes (350 x 255 mm), black half-percaline, labels printed in raised characters, smooth spine, untrimmed; binding a little rubbed, small paper loss to one label (Period binding).

Rare Braille printing from the Institution nationale des jeunes aveugles in Paris.
The bindings bear embossed title labels on the front cover and spine of the volumes, respectively.

These are two volumes intended for the intermediate level of this grammar, which was adopted by the communal schools of the city of Paris (1875).
We have not been able to determine the total number of volumes.

This copy was certainly used by pupils at the Institution des jeunes aveugles in Nancy, as the volumes bear his name in handwriting, as does the Joseph Brigand bookplate in Joinville.
