Charming calligraphic manuscript with numerous drawings of faces and smokers. It bears witness to the beginnings of the teaching of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Montauban, the latter having established themselves there in 1742, under the auspices of Monseigneur de Verthamont, bishop of the town.
It consists of a dedication, a preface, a course divided into various ornamented paragraphs, and a table of contents.
