Two prints, one in bistre, the other in dark green, of this typographical composition executed by Victor Breton for the 1883 Berthier competition.
The composition is dedicated to the printer Albans Chaix, who graciously authorized the use of his equipment to produce it. It was printed on his presses by Ferdinand Barrère.

The composition is a demonstration of octagonal cuts combined with 45° angles. Victor Breton presents his composition and system in the central text dedicated to typographers.
