Project for a stained-glass window depicting Saint Hubert.
[Nancy, Atelier W. Geisler, première moitié du XXe siècle].
1400 x 630 mm, ink and charcoal drawing heightened with white chalk, rolled up; a few small pinholes.
Magnificent full-length depiction of Saint Hubert, a stained glass project from the workshop of Nancy glass painter William-Antoine Geisler (1880-1970).
It won a vermeil medal at the 1924 Épinal exhibition.
The imposing size of this drawing suggests that it was made life-size, the actual size of the stained glass window.
