Superb album containing 238 captioned photographs of the tour of the United States and Canada taken by three young men in 1901.

An interesting account of the tourist activities of the time, with photographs of hotels, journeys between different destinations, and group activities and visits.

Note that the travelers were welcomed, rode horses, and went pigeon shooting with financier and industrialist André Poniatowski (1864-1954) in Burlingame. There is also a photograph of the children of William Henry Crocker (1861-1961), his partner, whose father was one of the Big Four of American railroads.
There is also a photograph taken in Newport of Katherine Alexander Duer Mackey (1878-1930), "Madame Clarence Mackay," a suffragist and New York writer.
