In-folio (400 x 265 mm), paperback, 19th-century hardback cover; spine of hardback damaged, two leaves detached, one highlighted with red and blue inks, two endpapers formerly removed from volume.
Superb large-format manuscript for teaching calligraphy, signed by a master calligrapher named Huin (?) followed by fecit and dated 1749.
It consists of a title, a page of Principles of writing presenting the alphabet, 19 pages of maxims decorated with interlacing, a page of Capital Letters, and a leaf bearing a circular composition with a text relating to God.
