Large composition of typographic art executed for the Exposition ouvrière internationale of 1886.

One sheet (455 x 560 mm), a few tears, a small angular lack.

Superb typographical composition executed by Victor Breton as a member of the Fédération française des travailleurs du livre for the Exposition ouvrière internationale of 1886.
It was produced at his home, using equipment provided by a grant from the Paris City Council, and the printing was financed by the Chambre syndicale typographique parisienne. It was printed by Ferdinand Barrère on the Chaix presses.

The frame contains the names of the great names of printing and books through the ages. The central text features a short article on bevelling and diamond cuts, illustrated with 5 figures.

This typographical tour de force features the coat of arms of the city of Paris at the head.
